Train tickets

Train tickets can be quite expensive when you wish to travel to for example Amsterdam (even with your 40% discount). However the Dutch railways (NS) offer combo tickets throughout the year. The tickets enable you to travel with another person to anywhere in the Netherlands for a fixed amount (at this moment it costs 45 euro for two persons). These tickets are called:

Zomer tour (only valid in the summer)
Hefsttour (only valid in the fall)
Lentetour (only valid in spring)

These tickets are valid in first class as well. You'll feel like the royalty you always wished to be.
